Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of accounts through month-end and quarter-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance commentary
• Drive close acceleration by identifying bottlenecks and implementing process changes
• Oversee SOX control preparation and execution across owned accounts
• Write, own, and maintain technical accounting policies and SOPs
• Review technical accounting memos to ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Identify repetitive tasks and leverage AI tools like Claude to automate workflows
• Coach and develop a team of accountants, including hiring and onboarding
• Partner cross-functionally with Tax, People Operations, and Procurement

Requirements

• Active CPA licence
• Big 4 audit foundation
• Experience managing or coaching junior accountants
• Experience designing and operating controls in a SOX environment
• Hands-on ownership of close processes (reconciliations, JEs, variance analysis)
• Depth in areas such as ASC 842, ASC 718, ASC 340-40, or payroll
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-growth environments
• Builder mindset with an interest in using AI to automate accounting work

Preferred Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in both public company and high-growth startup environments
• Experience leading or playing a significant role in an ERP implementation
• Experience building accounting infrastructure from the ground up
