Senior Manager – Controls and Governance (Executive Support)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage global governance, controls, and risk-related activities as the North America point of contact for the Business Support Management (BSM) team.
• Review and enhance control and process-related procedures to ensure alignment with CIB governance standards.
• Conduct deep-dive reviews and reporting analysis across Compliance and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) areas to identify risk exposure and operational efficiencies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE), Compliance, and Internal Audit testing activities.
• Facilitate regular forums and governance drop-in sessions with North America BSM teams to discuss risks, control gaps, and project updates.
• Support the development and implementation of global BSM training programs focused on governance and controls awareness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of financial services experience in controls, audit, operational quality assurance, or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) functional areas and sub-LOBs.
• Proven ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and influence business leaders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and PitchPro.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth experience managing indirect teams within a financial services organization.
• Strong background specifically in governance and control-related functions.
• Prior experience in international or matrixed leadership environments.
