Senior Manager - Continental Europe Payroll

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations across Continental Europe and international locations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery.
• Manage a team of multilingual payroll specialists, fostering a high-performance, customer-centric culture through coaching and development.
• Oversee external payroll vendors and partners, ensuring service excellence through robust SLAs and performance governance.
• Partner with HR Technology teams to optimize Workday and payroll integrations, driving automation and digital transformation.
• Ensure robust internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across all payroll jurisdictions.
• Lead global payroll projects, including system implementations, process harmonization, and migrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Finance, Tax, Legal, and HR to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

• 15+ years of extensive experience in payroll operations.
• Deep expertise in multi-country European payroll and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven leadership experience within an HR Shared Services or Global Business Services (GBS) environment.
• Strong track record of leading regional or global payroll change initiatives and digital transformations.
• Experience with Workday or similar cloud-based HCM and payroll systems.
• Expertise in vendor management and governing complex vendor ecosystems.
• Strong strategic thinking skills combined with operational execution excellence.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at a senior leadership level.
