Senior Manager, Capital Projects and Campus Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Directly manage University capital projects, including new construction, campus infrastructure, interior renovations, and site improvements.
• Oversee the installation and replacement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) equipment.
• Develop proposed capital projects and provide recommendations for project prioritization based on University needs and resources.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, including programming, budgeting, design, value engineering, bidding, construction, and warranty enforcement.
• Manage external consultants to ensure regulatory compliance and business needs are met.
• Maintain up-to-date floor plans, site utility plans, and space utilization databases.
• Support major utility system and building envelope upgrades across the Metropolitan and Florham campuses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Ten years of successful capital project management experience.
• Significant experience in large-scale facility planning, design, construction, and fiscal management.
• Demonstrated understanding of sustainability principles and their application to projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between campuses and off-campus locations.
• Ability to work extended hours and remain available on an on-call basis for emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience in higher education facility management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Procore, or other project management software.
• Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Revit.
