Senior Manager, Business Process & Broadcast Hub Operations

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the TEGNA Stream Center, including the leadership of supervisors and operations staff
• Ensure on-air integrity of multiple network programming feeds and provide immediate response to mitigate on-air issues
• Deploy staff in a strategic manner to support high-profile and live events
• Perform live on-air duties in relation to event/operator coverage when necessary
• Develop, evaluate, and implement technical and operational training initiatives
• Implement and evolve policies and procedures
• Provide timely, clear, and direct feedback to employees and administer staff performance evaluations
• Collaborate with individual station General Managers to address concerns or issues

Requirements

• BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel
• Knowledge of television broadcast equipment, including video/audio routing, file servers, and multi-channel automation systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve broadcast issues immediately
• Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
• Willingness to work in Charlotte, NC
• Availability to work flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays for a 24/7 operation

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a master control or production control room television environment
• 5 years of managerial experience
• Proven passion for media, television, and technology
