Senior Manager, BESS Test Engineering

Our iron-air battery technology is being produced at our first high-volume manufacturing facility in West Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the Test Engineering Operations organization
• Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for test engineering from subscale to full system validation
• Recruit, structure, and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians
• Design and operate best-in-class test infrastructure for electrode, cell, module, and pack-level testing
• Manage end-of-line testing and quality sampling aligned with factory control plans
• Oversee failure analysis, tear-downs, and troubleshooting for manufacturing and R&D feedback loops
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, product design, process engineering, and operations
• Establish systems and metrics for data analysis, traceability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Test Engineering
• 5+ years of leadership experience building and scaling technical teams
• Demonstrated success in developing and operating test facilities in manufacturing environments
• Expertise in battery systems, electrical and mechanical testing, and test data analytics
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent technical field
