Senior Manager, Battery Engineering

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff
• Oversee daily workflow of the team and portfolio
• Provide constructive performance evaluations and handle administrative management
• Drive successful technology deployment with partners and execute technical goals
• Coach and support engineers through feedback and development opportunities
• Facilitate collaboration between Product, Business Development, and R&D teams
• Manage employees and contractors to support sales activities and competitive intelligence

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in engineering or physical science
• 12+ years of industry experience (fewer with an advanced degree)
• Deep understanding of lithium-ion batteries, components, and materials
• Experience leading customer- or partner-facing relationships
• Advanced engineering and project management skills
• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
