Senior Manager - Banking Financial Risk

Responsibilities

• Lead complex financial risk engagements for banking clients, focusing on credit risk and climate risk.
• Oversee the development and validation of financial risk models, methodologies, and risk management solutions.
• Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders regarding regulatory change, transformation, and risk management frameworks.
• Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to client proposals.
• Coach and develop high-performing teams while fostering an inclusive culture.
• Support clients in uplifting model risk management and AI/GenAI risk management capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Engineering).
• 8+ years of professional experience in consulting, banking, or financial risk management.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R and/or Python.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Deep understanding of the banking sector and financial risk management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data for executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as CFA or FIAA.
• Experience with data analytics, AI, and GenAI applications.
• Expertise in climate risk (scenario analysis and disclosure) and capital/stress testing.
• Knowledge of prudential standards and regulatory change within the banking industry.
