About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead complex financial risk engagements for banking clients, focusing on credit risk and climate risk.
- Oversee the development and validation of financial risk models, methodologies, and risk management solutions.
- Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders regarding regulatory change, transformation, and risk management frameworks.
- Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to client proposals.
- Coach and develop high-performing teams while fostering an inclusive culture.
- Support clients in uplifting model risk management and AI/GenAI risk management capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Engineering).
- 8+ years of professional experience in consulting, banking, or financial risk management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R and/or Python.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Deep understanding of the banking sector and financial risk management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data for executive audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional qualification such as CFA or FIAA.
- Experience with data analytics, AI, and GenAI applications.
- Expertise in climate risk (scenario analysis and disclosure) and capital/stress testing.
- Knowledge of prudential standards and regulatory change within the banking industry.
