Senior Manager, Application Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full application lifecycle, including planning, design, development, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
• Lead the execution of application enhancements, upgrades, and decommissioning programs following established governance frameworks.
• Ensure applications adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and enterprise security standards.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and support personnel.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders, risk partners, architecture teams, and support teams.
• Ensure operational stability by overseeing incident management, problem resolution, and root-cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain multi-year application roadmaps aligned with organizational goals and architecture standards.
• Own and manage application budgets, including forecasting and cost control.
• Drive innovation, modernization initiatives, and cloud-first adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a relevant discipline.
• 5-8+ years of progressive experience in application management, technology delivery, or platform engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing application teams and mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies.
• Experience managing budgets and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory environments for enterprise applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Agile, ITIL, or project management (PMP/ACP).
• Cloud certifications (GCP/Azure).
