Senior Manager, Accounting

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage complex corporate accounting areas including internal-use-software capitalization, hosting, leases, intercompany, and intangible assets
• Support accounting for revenue streams such as core-subscription, text messaging, and advertising revenue
• Perform and review key account reconciliations, rollforwards, and accounting analyses
• Research accounting guidance (ASC 350-40, ASC 606, ASC 842) and update technical memos
• Perform monthly variance and fluctuation analyses to explain business drivers
• Implement AI tools and automation to improve efficiency and eliminate manual effort
• Redesign spreadsheet-based workflows and maintain process documentation for audit and SOX-equivalent review
• Support interim and year-end audit processes
• Manage and provide technical coaching to 1–2 accounting professionals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 350-40, and ASC 842
• Experience with reconciliations, rollforwards, and financial analyses
• Experience supporting process improvements or automation initiatives
• Understanding of internal controls and audit processes
• Advanced Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems
• Experience in SaaS or start-up environments
• Exposure to international accounting or multi-entity structures
