Senior Manager, Accounting Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounting Operations function, overseeing AP, payroll, expense reporting, and state filing compliance
• Manage and develop the accounting operations team, building role clarity, cross-training, and accountability
• Oversee accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor bill flow, and procure-to-pay processes
• Partner with Supply Chain, FP&A, and People Ops to manage POs, payroll timelines, and expense policy adherence
• Own state filing compliance execution, including filing calendars and external provider coordination
• Partner with ERP/IT to identify workflow gaps, improve Odoo-enabled processes, and support automation
• Document key operating procedures and create scalable SOPs and training materials
• Support monthly close activities, internal controls, and audit readiness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a similar field preferred
• Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting or finance operations experience
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or team lead experience
• Hands-on experience with AP, payroll, expense reporting, and state filing compliance
• Strong Excel and ERP fluency
• Ability to work in a facility with industrial hazards including heat, noise, high voltage, and cryogenics
• Ability to perform extended activities such as typing, standing, sitting, and walking

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-growth, manufacturing, or R&D environment
• Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems
• Experience managing external providers for compliance or payroll services
• CPA, CPP, or other relevant professional certifications
• Experience building SOPs, training materials, and audit-ready documentation
