About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary lead coordinating between external auditors and internal stakeholders
- Own PMO-style leadership including project planning, status reporting, and risk tracking
- Oversee audit readiness activities such as reconciliations and deliverable management
- Lead and mentor supporting team members to keep timelines on track
- Support financial reporting needs and SEC-style reporting support where applicable
Requirements
- Senior Manager-level background in accounting or audit leadership
- Proven success leading external audit facilitation
- Experience managing complex, deadline-driven workstreams
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Financial reporting experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare industry experience (providers or hospitals)
- SEC reporting exposure
- GRC or SOX experience
