About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, fostering a high-performing environment
- Oversee compensation accounting areas including global payroll, bonuses, commissions, and 401k
- Own key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close to ensure US GAAP compliance
- Manage the preparation of financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and account analyses
- Serve as a key point of contact for year-end and quarterly audits, including internal audit and SOX requests
- Lead initiatives to scale and automate accounting processes and workflows
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and operational teams to support business initiatives
- Research and document technical accounting issues and present positions to external auditors
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including industry and public accounting experience
- BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA certification is required
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404, and SEC reporting standards
- Proven experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights
Preferred Qualifications
- Big Four public accounting experience
- Experience with NetSuite, FloQast, or Workiva
