Senior Maintenance Technician – Utilities (Waste Water Treatment) – Day Shift

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and optimize industrial wastewater treatment processes including pH adjustment, chemical treatment, and dissolved air flotation (DAF).
• Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on pumps, mixers, chemical feed systems, and associated utilities.
• Monitor wastewater parameters such as pH, TSS, TDS, BOD, and Nitrogen to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal discharge permits.
• Maintain and troubleshoot plant utility systems including steam, chilled water, compressed air, and HVAC systems.
• Utilize SCADA, PLC, and HMI systems to monitor automated controls and respond to process alarms.
• Complete accurate work order documentation, operational logs, and compliance reports in alignment with GMP and SOP standards.
• Participate in safety activities including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and chemical handling.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of Water Treatment Operations or Maintenance experience, OR a Technical School Diploma with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven knowledge of wastewater treatment operations and mechanical maintenance.
• Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work a rotating day shift (2-2-3 schedule, 7 AM to 7 PM).

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in wastewater treatment operations and mechanical maintenance.
• Experience working within a cGMP or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
• Proficiency using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work orders.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
