About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine daily maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance on processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures, recommend corrective actions, and execute repairs to restore operational status
  • Identify required materials, obtain pricing, and complete purchase orders for necessary supplies
  • Interface with operations personnel and outside contractors regarding work orders
  • Adhere to all facility safety programs and take a lead role on the production floor
  • Manage small projects related to equipment enhancements and maintenance reliability programs

Requirements

  • Technical degree or certificate (Qualified electrician) or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of maintenance experience in a processing or manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with 480V 3 Phase power and electric motor control troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret ladder logic, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with mechanical system repair and instrument calibration
  • Ability to operate welding equipment and cutting torches
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and communicate fluently in English
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to high temperatures and high humidity
