Senior Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on cleanroom HVAC, BMS/EMS, and process equipment including incubators, centrifuges, and pumps.
• Maintain critical utilities such as clean steam, chilled water, gases, and compressed air systems.
• Operate and troubleshoot boilers, steam generators, cooling towers, and water treatment systems.
• Support cleanroom integrity by monitoring HEPA filters, pressure differentials, and temperature/humidity levels.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA processes to resolve equipment and utility issues.
• Calibrate instruments and contribute to equipment qualification processes (URS/IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Maintain accurate documentation in CMMS following strict Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Champion EHS standards, including LOTO, permits, and OSHA/NFPA 70E compliance.
• Mentor teammates and partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering departments.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of maintenance experience in a GMP biopharma, cell therapy, or ATMP environment.
• High School Diploma/GED or a technical degree/diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
• Expertise in HVAC for controlled environments and knowledge of clean steam and chilled water systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of PLC and HMI systems.
• Proficiency using CMMS and BMS/EMS software.
• Strong understanding of cGMP, GDP, and validation/qualification protocols.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (afternoon/evening hours) and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in cleanroom environments wearing required PPE.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vibration analysis or thermography.
• Manufacturer-specific training on chillers or advanced controls.
• Formal coursework in GxP or cleanroom operations.
• Relevant safety certifications.
