About the role

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain industrial-type motors, pumps (water distribution, high temp, and vacuum), and other mechanical equipment.
  • Work independently within a designated zone or campus to complete work orders with minimal instruction.
  • Estimate required work and procure necessary materials for individual or group tasks.
  • Guide and instruct craft trainees and other staff members in mechanical maintenance duties.
  • Verify the quality and results of work performed by outside vendors.

Requirements

  • High school or vocational school education (or equivalent).
  • 4 years of experience performing mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair on industrial motors and pumps.
  • Valid driver's license with at least two years of driving experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Competency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Completion of an approved training program or certified apprenticeship program.
