Senior Macro Analyst

Responsibilities

• Generate actionable trading ideas and market analysis across European equity index volatility, options, spreads, futures, and related financial instruments
• Develop and maintain scenario analyses around key market-moving events including economic data, central bank meetings, and geopolitical developments
• Monitor global and European macro themes to identify impacts on equity index volatility, rates, FX, and risk sentiment
• Provide traders with timely, clear, and actionable updates during European trading hours
• React quickly to breaking news and unexpected market events to assess potential outcomes and trading opportunities
• Work closely with traders to evaluate risk/reward and refine trading hypotheses
• Collaborate with global analyst teams in Amsterdam, Chicago, Sydney, and Mumbai
• Support the development of junior analysts and continuously improve analytical tools and processes

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in trading, macro research, volatility, options, or strategy-focused roles
• Experience in high-frequency trading, investment banking, hedge funds, or market-making environments
• Strong understanding of European financial markets and macroeconomic/geopolitical factors
• Expertise in analyzing equity index products, options, volatility, futures, and spreads
• Proven ability to translate macro events into practical trading implications
• Strong scenario analysis skills and ability to assess market probabilities and second-order effects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for fast-moving market conditions
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive under pressure
