Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Perception

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of advanced perception algorithms for object detection, tracking, classification, and segmentation using camera, lidar, and radar data
• Design and implement sensor fusion algorithms to combine data from multiple sensors
• Optimize perception algorithms for real-time performance on embedded hardware
• Collaborate with other engineers to integrate perception systems into larger autonomous systems
• Productionize and deploy solutions onto autonomous vehicle fleets
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on the team

Requirements

• Masters or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
• In-depth understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms
• Experience designing, training, and analyzing neural networks (object detection, segmentation, sensor fusion, etc.)
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Fluency in Python and scientific computing libraries
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles and testing methods

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C++ and/or CUDA
• Proven track record of developing perception systems for autonomous vehicles or robotics
• Experience with embedded systems and real-time optimization
• Track record of publications in relevant conferences like CVPR, ICML, or NeurIPS
