Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Set the ML technical direction for the team, including architectural choices on perception, reasoning, and action generation
• Own architectural workstreams for action-policy learning, world-model-based supervision, and policy-orchestration interfaces
• Design hybrid physics-ML architectures for integrated loco-manipulation stacks
• Partner cross-functionally with hardware teams, domain experts, and customer-facing assurance standards
• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and establish code-quality standards and engineering norms
• Write production-quality code throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on robot learning experience with sim-to-real deployment
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentorship experience
• Deep expertise in sim-to-real techniques like domain randomization and system identification
• Proficiency in Python and C++
• Experience with physics-informed ML or hybrid control (e.g., PINNs, neural ODEs, MPC)
• Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with edge inference (TensorRT, ONNX)
• Experience with loco-manipulation on legged platforms (quadrupeds, humanoids)
• Background in precision manipulation or surgical robotics
• Experience with flow-matching action-head design
• Experience with visual self-supervised representation learning
• Experience building ML capability from early stages
