Senior Machine Learning Engineer

A1 is building a proactive smart assistant for everyday users to bring intelligence to conversations, errands, organizing, and workflows. The mission is to create AI-native applications that handle multi-step reasoning and real-world task completion with high reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build core ML systems that power a proactive, long-horizon AI product
• Own work end-to-end including data preparation, training, evaluation, inference, and iteration
• Turn research ideas into working systems that run reliably in production
• Debug model failures and system issues using real production signals
• Work under production constraints such as latency, cost, reliability, and safety
• Mentor and review work from other ML engineers

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping ML systems used by real users
• Deep understanding of how modern ML models behave in production environments
• Ability to write strong, production-quality code
• Proficiency with Python and PyTorch or JAX
• Experience with GPU-based training and inference systems
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of ambiguous problems
