Senior Logistics Officer - Inbound Logistics & Custom Liaison

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inbound logistics operations, including resource planning for priority tasks.
• Ensure smooth material flow from inbound to production based on established processes.
• Act as the primary person in charge for all customs-related topics, including declaration, clearance, AEO, and bonded warehouse management.
• Liaise with government agencies such as MITI, MBPP, SIRIM, MOF, and Customs for certification, licenses, and permit applications.
• Monitor KPIs, report deviations, and propose corrective actions.
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and BPS.
• Act as the first-level escalation point for operational, MHE, and system issues.
• Support SAP-related tasks and ensure correct system usage.
• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing documentation and ensuring processes are audit-ready.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in inbound logistics and customs operations.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, compliance requirements, and import/export processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, result-oriented mindset with a structured and detail-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP.
• Familiarity with FMEA, project management, quality management, and operational strategy.
• Experience in mentoring or guiding junior staff.
