Senior LNG Trader

Responsibilities

• Assess, understand, and manage short- and medium-term exposures within a global LNG portfolio
• Identify and generate tradable opportunities in the physical LNG market
• Assess risk, value, and portfolio fit for the front four years
• Manage existing counterparts and target new counterparts in established and emerging markets

Requirements

• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build stakeholder relationships
• Experience dealing with portfolio players, trading houses, and downstream/utilities
• Extremely strong grasp of contracts (MSAs, CNs, SPAs) and contractual/counterparty risk
• Experience trading LNG on key indices such as TTF, NBP, JKM, Basis, or Brent
• Quantitative and contractual skills, including the ability to work independently to generate trades
• Knowledge of downstream markets in Europe and Asia is highly advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience trading on the Platts MOC Window
• Experience trading physical cargoes with a focus on monetizing optionality
• Background in LNG marketing, origination, and related energy markets including regas
