Senior LNG Market Risk Analyst

Responsibilities

• Provide independent market risk oversight and commercial support for a global LNG portfolio
• Advise traders and commercial teams on hedging strategies, portfolio optimisation, and valuation methodologies
• Manage risk assessment and valuation of LNG portfolios including FOB, DES, regasification, and storage
• Perform quantitative analysis of LNG optionality, diversion rights, and cross-basin arbitrage
• Support pricing and structuring of new LNG transactions and long-term supply agreements
• Develop and maintain robust valuation and risk models for market exposures and stress scenarios
• Partner with Front Office to provide commercial challenge and timely risk recommendations
• Use Python and SQL to automate analysis and enhance reporting processes
• Utilize trading systems like Openlink ENDUR to analyse positions and validate valuations

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of experience in LNG Market Risk, LNG Trading, or LNG Portfolio Management
• Deep understanding of global gas and LNG markets (FOB/DES, shipping, regasification, storage)
• Experience with chartering economics, vessel optimisation, and netback calculations
• Strong quantitative background with proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with Openlink ENDUR is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
