Senior Linux Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Lead the configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of Linux HPC clusters, including compute, storage, and network components.
• Drive the integration of Kubernetes and Splunk into the environment, providing implementation guidance and team training.
• Build and implement new monitoring toolsets for HPC and Private cloud systems.
• Develop scripts and automation to enhance operational services and service quality.
• Provide technical expertise to improve HPC cluster performance, resiliency, and end-user support.
• Collaborate on projects to enhance systems monitoring, configuration management, and backup processes.
• Document system architectures, new capabilities, and operational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator in an HPC environment.
• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Public Trust.
• Expertise in enterprise storage administration, including hardware/software troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with CentOS or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Proficiency with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or Cobbler.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools like Ganglia, Nagios, Prometheus, or Zabbix.

Preferred Qualifications

• Linux Operating System Certificate.
• RHEL Operating System Certificate.
• Network+ or other relevant industry certifications.
