Senior Linux System Administrator

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and optimize Linux servers and systems using RHEL and Oracle Linux
• Develop custom Linux images for deployment and automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or other platforms
• Build and maintain information systems complying with JSIG / RMF security requirements
• Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation using tools like NESSUS, ACAS, and DISA STIGs
• Integrate security solutions such as Trellix, Splunk, and HBSS into information systems
• Troubleshoot and restore complex computing service operations, including backups, networking, and domain functions
• Provide technical documentation, training guides, and knowledge management articles

Requirements

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
• CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within first 6 months)
• 5+ years of experience with RHEL 6 or higher administration
• 5+ years of experience with RMF security tools (NESSUS, ACAS, DISA STIGs, SCAP, HBSS)
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing secure Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience creating custom Windows or Linux images (ISOs/VM templates)
• 10+ years of experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies
• Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker/Containerization, and Splunk Indexers/Forwarders
• Proficiency in developing PowerShell and Linux scripts for hardware integration and OS deployment
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and backup/restore technologies
