About the role

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Linux servers using Red Hat and Ubuntu.
  • Support physical, virtual, and AWS-based Linux environments used for semiconductor design.
  • Perform system monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Manage storage, backups, and file systems using NetApp and Rubrik.
  • Implement security best practices, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Develop Bash scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Administer HPC clusters, job scheduling platforms, and core infrastructure services.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and perform root cause analysis for system outages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5+ years of Linux system administration experience.
  • Proven experience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu environments.
  • Experience supporting virtualized platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of NetApp storage, NFS, and backup solutions like Rubrik.
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and Linux command-line administration.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSH, NTP).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor, EDA, or High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
  • Knowledge of container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Linux certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE.
