About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement global and localized lighting for game environments
- Collaborate with level designers, artists, and cinematics to deliver immersive experiences
- Refine and adjust in-game lighting based on art direction and gameplay needs
- Utilize Unreal Engine 5’s Blueprint system to streamline lighting processes
- Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to lighting, performance, and optimization
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in lighting technology and techniques
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in lighting roles within the gaming industry
- Proven track record of contributing to at least one shipped AAA title
- Expertise with Unreal Engine 5, including Lumen, or proprietary AAA engines
- Strong knowledge of real-world lighting principles, color theory, and PBR
- Understanding of lighting performance optimization and rendering pipelines
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proficiency in English for international communication
