Senior Liability Claims Adjuster

Responsibilities

• Handle unrepresented, represented, and litigated property and personal liability claims from start-to-finish
• Establish timely contact with all parties and investigate loss details to determine legal liability
• Make definitive, well-documented coverage decisions and draft comprehensive coverage letters
• Evaluate, negotiate, and adjudicate claims within established authority
• Maintain meticulous claim files in compliance with Fair Claims practices
• Partner with and direct counsel, independent adjusters, and experts
• Support workload surges and catastrophe response operations, including potential on-call, evening, or weekend work
• Review estimates and reports and issue payments as owed under policy contracts

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience adjusting complex liability/casualty claims
• Expertise in handling complex bodily injury, 3rd party liability, and litigated general liability files
• Extensive knowledge of standard claims practices, estimating, coverage application, and subrogation
• Ability to thrive under intense pressure and manage large workloads

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Homeowners, Condo, and/or Landlord claims
• Prior leadership experience
• AIC or ARM designations
• Experience in subrogation, fraud investigation, or property damage estimating
• Prior project management experience
