About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute internal security controls through compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure adherence to government and company regulations
- Identify security deficiencies and develop/implement corrective actions
- Conduct administrative inquiries regarding personnel and processes to determine the scope of non-compliance
- Protect government, intellectual, third-party, and company information from unauthorized disclosure
- Develop and administer security education and awareness programs for complex programs
- Prepare program concepts of operation (CONOPs) outlining unique security protection requirements
- Coordinate across the security workforce, engineering, and management teams to support contract execution
- Oversee subcontractor management, including providing contractual direction and conducting site assistance visits
Requirements
- Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5/SSBI) within the last 5 years or enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
- 10+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, or communications security
- 5+ years of experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)
- 5+ years of experience in NISP, SAP, and/or SCI domains
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP)
- Willingness to undergo a U.S. government polygraph examination
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher, or relevant military experience
- Experience working with 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM), DoD Manual 5205.07, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to perform occasional second-shift or after-hours work to accommodate program operations
