Responsibilities
- Manage legal efforts in response to contentious inquiries, including pre-litigious and regulatory matters
- Communicate with external counsel and negotiate with opposition
- Provide proactive, commercially sensible legal advice and formal legal opinions
- Analyze the legality of financial products
- Develop and implement legal strategies to reduce dispute risks while balancing business goals
- Assist in negotiating contracts across different business lines and support risk management projects
- Draft and review court, arbitration, liaison, and settlement agreements
- Partner with cross-functional and regional teams on complex legal matters
- Provide administrative support for corporate documents and general legal team support
