Senior Legal Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a complex portfolio of high-value legal matters, ensuring alignment across timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for key clients, providing strategic insights and portfolio delivery updates.
• Develop and implement detailed matter plans, including milestones and deliverables for high-stakes engagements.
• Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders and client legal operations teams to ensure seamless matter progress.
• Manage resource allocation and forecasting to maximize delivery efficiency and optimal staffing.
• Track and analyze matter-level budgets, providing forecasting and profitability assessments.
• Mentor and coach junior Legal Project Managers and Analysts to support professional development.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in matter or portfolio management within a law firm.
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience influencing senior partners and executive-level stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising junior project management professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent professional certification.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Proficiency with project management tools like MS Project or Asana.
