Senior Legal Pricing Analyst

Responsibilities

• Evaluate local market trends and identify opportunities regarding billing rates, profitability, and value-based billing
• Assist attorneys with developing pricing proposals for client pitches
• Model matter profitability and provide pricing analytics to support decision-making for firm management and attorneys
• Research and identify comparable firm matters to provide baselines for attorney budgets
• Design templates to assist attorneys with budgeting processes
• Liaise with the Project Performance Management team to monitor budgets and provide re-pricing recommendations
• Conduct periodic audits of the Firm’s rates and special fee arrangements database
• Create analyses and design reports or presentations to showcase pricing trends
• Analyze client performance data to identify pricing opportunities
• Perform ad hoc analyses using the firm's various data stores and tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred fields: business, economics, law, finance, accounting, or project management)
• At least 3 years of financial, procurement, and/or pricing experience
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, macros, pivots, data manipulation; Power Query and/or VBA is a plus)
• Strong understanding of legal pricing and profitability drivers
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a large law firm
• Experience with financial management systems such as Elite 3E or Aderant
• Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau
