Senior Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance and strategic advice to business teams and senior management
• Draft, review, and maintain legal documents, policies, and templates
• Negotiate and manage agreements with partners, vendors, and third parties
• Identify and assess potential legal and regulatory risks to the business
• Ensure compliance with regional laws and regulations, particularly in GCC jurisdictions
• Provide legal support for FinTech operations, digital payments, and financial technology initiatives
• Monitor regulatory developments relevant to the company’s industry

Requirements

• Fluency in Arabic and English with strong legal drafting skills in both languages
• Strong understanding of corporate law and legal defense strategies
• Knowledge of FinTech regulations, digital payments, and financial technology frameworks
• Familiarity with legislation and regulatory practices across the Middle East and GCC
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of legal experience, preferably in corporate law or in-house roles
• Previous experience in FinTech, payments, e-commerce, or financial services
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
