Senior Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including supplier agreements and partnership contracts
• Advise business teams on contractual risk and decision-making
• Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, and standard terms
• Provide legal input on new product features, customer journeys, and platform changes
• Advise on FCA regulatory requirements as they apply to products and services
• Support compliance reviews of customer-facing content and regulated communications
• Support corporate matters including fundraising, governance, and company secretarial work
• Advise on data protection, privacy, and GDPR compliance
• Provide general legal support on employment, IP, and operational matters

Requirements

• UK qualified solicitor with 4+ years PQE
• Experience in private practice and/or in-house environments
• Strong commercial legal skills with contract negotiation experience
• Understanding of FCA regulation within fintech or financial services
• Ability to work autonomously and manage workload independently
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with property, mortgage, or investment products
• In-house experience at a fast-growing fintech
• Exposure to data protection, GDPR, or privacy work
