Senior Legal Counsel

Crypto Finance Group, part of Deutsche Börse Group, provides professional digital asset solutions to institutional clients. The Group comprises Crypto Finance AG, regulated by FINMA in Switzerland, and Crypto Finance (Deutschland) GmbH, regulated by BaFin in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior legal expert within the Legal & Regulatory team, taking ownership of complex matters
• Take responsibility for strategic, group-wide legal projects
• Coordinate communication with regulatory authorities such as FINMA and BaFin
• Provide high-quality legal and regulatory advice across all business areas
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and manage external counsel
• Support international expansion by providing guidance for new markets
• Act as a key legal counterpart for institutional clients
• Monitor and assess relevant legal and regulatory developments
• Support the Executive Board and Board of Directors in legal matters

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as Legal & Regulatory Counsel
• Master’s degree in Law or Lizenziat from a Swiss University
• Admission to the Swiss bar is preferential
• Knowledge of Web 3.0 and DLT is a strong asset
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
• Valid Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship

• Project management experience
• Exposure to financial regulation
