Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Litigation and Regulatory Affairs

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial, civil, and regulatory litigation involving the company and its subsidiaries
• Develop and recommend legal risk management and dispute resolution strategies aligned with business objectives
• Oversee mandates entrusted to external legal counsel, including budget, timelines, and deliverables
• Participate in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and dispute settlements
• Coordinate document preservation, disclosure, and evidence collection processes
• Advise internal teams on pre-litigation, litigation, and urgent or sensitive matters, including crisis management cells
• Lead or support internal and regulatory investigations, liaise with authorities, and contribute to compliance program evolution
• Review, draft, and negotiate various commercial and operational agreements
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the business and provide strategic legal advice to internal clients

Requirements

• Active Member of the Barreau du Québec
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in commercial litigation, acquired in a law firm and/or in-house environment
• Experience in a highly regulated environment; aviation industry experience is considered a strong asset
• Proven experience managing complex, multidisciplinary files
• Strong analytical, negotiation, legal risk management, and business judgment skills
• Excellent command of MS Office tools and demonstrated ease with collaborative digital tools and AI (e.g., Copilot)
• Oral and written fluency in French and English
