About the role
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, purchase orders, distributor agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
- Interpret contractual terms and conditions in accordance with company standards, business objectives, and applicable laws.
- Advise internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and opportunities.
- Participate in internal risk review processes, providing clear input and recommendations.
- Negotiate critical contract provisions such as warranties, indemnities, force majeure, and limitations of liability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple cultures and geographic regions.
- Support continuous improvement in contract management processes and ensure consistency in standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract negotiation, administration, procurement, or related roles.
- Proven hands-on experience drafting and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
- Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of contract law and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
- High level of integrity, independence, and initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior legal experience is highly preferred.
- Experience as a Contract Administrator, Contract Officer, Purchasing Agent, or Buyer with significant drafting and negotiation expertise.
