Senior Legal Associate

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and drive the legal aspects of all business initiatives
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of agreements including Shareholder Agreements, Subscription Agreements, Term Sheets, and ESOP documentation
• Manage Vendor, Service, SaaS Agreements, IP Licensing, and NDAs
• Handle Debenture Agreements, investment instruments, Lease Deeds, and Data Processing Agreements
• Provide legal advisory support to internal teams such as procurement, HR, operations, and business development
• Ensure ongoing compliance with the Companies Act, labor and employment laws, IP, data privacy, and sectoral regulations
• Liaise with external counsel regarding litigation, dispute resolution, and niche legal matters

Requirements

• LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a reputed institution
• 5–8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house exposure
• Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in corporate law, commercial contracts, labor laws, and regulatory compliance
• Experience working within startup or corporate legal environments
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and balance legal risk with business objectives
