Senior Legal Adviser

DFDL was established in 1994 as an integrated legal and tax advisory firm with in-depth knowledge of developing jurisdictions. With 12 offices across Asia, DFDL provides specialized expertise across various sectors including Energy, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to clients and draft contracts, letters of advice, and legal opinions
• Report to and take instruction from Partners and Managing Directors
• Draft fee proposals, maintain time records, and assist in invoice management
• Peer review the work of other advisers and provide constructive feedback
• Supervise, lead, and coach junior legal advisers and assistants
• Participate in business development, government relations, and chambers of commerce activities
• Contribute to knowledge management and firm administrative activities

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience as a lawyer
• Excellent technical knowledge of Vietnam’s energy laws and regulations
• University level qualifications in Law
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Experience in general management and leading/developing teams
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a satisfied clientele of local and international corporations
• Proficiency in MS Office suite
• Vietnamese nationality required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a law firm or multinational corporation
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
