About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver innovative medical education and training to medical students
  • Support and assist preceptors and host practitioners
  • Engage in research and/or evaluation relevant to improving rural health
  • Maintain and contribute to the development of local educational programs in consultation with local medical practitioners
  • Develop and coordinate rural training pathways in the local area of appointment

Requirements

  • Registered, or able to be registered with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
  • Experience as a preceptor and/or supervisor of medical students, junior doctors, or registrars
  • Proven commitment to working in medical practice in rural Western Australia
  • Ability to network with rural practitioners in the region
  • Strong commitment to the principles and practice of Indigenous health in rural and regional areas
