Senior Lecturer (Medical Coordinator)

Responsibilities

• Deliver innovative medical education and training to medical students
• Support preceptors and host practitioners in the clinical setting
• Engage in research and/or evaluation relevant to improving rural health
• Maintain and develop local educational programs in consultation with medical practitioners and agencies
• Coordinate the development of rural training pathways in the local area

Requirements

• Registered, or able to be registered with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
• Experience as a preceptor and/or supervisor of medical students, junior doctors, or registrars
• Proven commitment to working in medical practice in rural Western Australia
• Knowledge of and commitment to the principles and practice of Indigenous health in rural and regional areas
• Ability to network effectively with rural practitioners in the region
