Senior Leather Goods Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead creative research and construct moodboards to inspire new models or enrich existing lines
• Develop concepts through sketches, technical drawings (Illustrator), simulations (Photoshop), and physical mockups
• Create prototypes at various development stages to test volumes, proportions, and details
• Write detailed technical sheets for internal and partner workshops in France, Spain, and English-speaking countries
• Produce correction sheets to guide the iteration of prototypes during development
• Collaborate closely with Collection and Sourcing teams to monitor project evolution
• Participate in bi-monthly design meetings with the CEO to present project progress
• Provide design and material expertise to enrich collective reflection and evolve Polène's brand identity
• Maintain constant veille on trends, craftsmanship, and leather goods innovations

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in bag design
• Excellent knowledge of leather construction techniques and leather materials
• Expertise in metal hardware engineering
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Strong hand drawing skills
• Ability to create physical mockups (experience with bonded leather or microfiber is a plus)
• High level of autonomy, rigor, and organizational skills
• Strong collaborative spirit and ability to work within a creative team
