About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop targeted programmes to support improvements in attendance, achievement, and student engagement
- Deliver and coordinate effective whole-school and targeted interventions for individuals and groups
- Provide guidance and support to positively impact students’ self-esteem, wellbeing, and readiness to learn
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and leadership to remove barriers to learning
- Engage proactively with parents, carers, and external agencies to provide holistic support for young people
Requirements
- Proven track record of developing and delivering successful intervention programmes
- Experience working across a whole-school approach as well as with targeted groups and individuals
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and professionals
- High levels of resilience, patience, and emotional intelligence when working with complex needs or behaviours
- A genuine passion for working with young people and a clear commitment to inclusion
