About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, review, and filing of all SEC reporting deliverables, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and earnings releases
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, and MD&A in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Manage the quarterly and annual SEC reporting calendar and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting matters and strategic transactions
- Develop and maintain company accounting policies and technical accounting position papers
- Oversee technical analyses related to revenue recognition, purchase accounting, goodwill, and derivatives
- Manage and mentor a team of two professionals supporting SEC reporting and technical accounting functions
- Partner with external auditors, Legal, Treasury, Tax, and Investor Relations to ensure compliance and process improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s degree preferred)
- Active CPA license
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
- Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of SOX and internal control requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Combination of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience
- Experience with Workiva
