Senior Lead Software Engineer - Python Full Stack

Responsibilities

• Lead an agile team to build and deliver scalable technology products for the Equities team.
• Spearhead greenfield AI initiatives to transform the storage and access of loan-related legal documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Re-engineer and re-architect existing platforms to improve performance, availability, and scalability.
• Lead design and architecture discussions to leverage emerging technologies for complex business deliveries.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders in Trading, QR, and Operations to ensure world-class user experiences.
• Contribute to the engineering community by advocating for firmwide frameworks and SDLC best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and React.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Ability to tackle complex design and functionality problems independently.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS.
• Experience with order management and trading user interfaces, including knowledge of Athena.
• Understanding of financial products, specifically equity-based loans.
