Senior Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Sets technical direction for platform engineering across squads, aligning architecture, delivery, and operational excellence
• Develops secure high-quality production code and establishes engineering standards
• Designs and develops composable infrastructure systems and scalable platform services
• Builds and operates Kubernetes-based platform services and automates CI/CD
• Provides operational support and leadership for production systems in a "you-build-it-you-run-it" culture
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams for architectural designs
• Coaches and mentors engineers to develop technical leadership capability
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed

Requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering (e.g., CKAD, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, or AWS Solutions Architect)
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in Go, Java, or Kotlin
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Practical cloud native experience deploying Kubernetes applications on GCP, AWS, or Azure at scale
• Experience leading the use of AI-assisted software development tools
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in the Kubernetes operator pattern
• Expertise deploying infrastructure as code using Crossplane, Terraform, or equivalent
• Experience with GitOps workflows
