Senior Lead Last Engineer

Responsibilities

• Establish clear standards and best practices for all new last creations
• Champion implementation of guidelines across internal teams and suppliers to optimize the last library
• Lead hands-on creation of new lasts and act as primary technical consultant for Design, Development, and Innovation teams
• Build and manage collaborative relationships with external last suppliers and manufacturers
• Own and maintain comprehensive digital and physical last libraries
• Partner with Sourcing and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical challenges and streamline production
• Evaluate and improve development workflows using 3D modeling and fit-data insights

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in last engineering for high-performance running and fashion/lifestyle footwear
• Deep understanding of dynamic fit, foot anatomy, and biomechanics
• Proven experience managing last development programs for a sports or performance footwear brand
• Practical ability to operate 3D scanners and milling machines
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Romans CAD, Rhino, or similar)
• Extensive understanding of footwear manufacturing processes, tooling, and grading principles
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
