Senior Lead IT Operations Administrator

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise infrastructure including servers, virtualization, storage, and networking
• Manage Cisco Unity and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) environments, including voice services and call routing
• Configure and troubleshoot Fortinet Next-Gen firewalls and network security infrastructure
• Administer Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) environments and cluster operations
• Support Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments through patching, hardening, and automation
• Manage Splunk platforms for monitoring, log aggregation, and operational analytics
• Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity operations using Kaseya and Unitrends solutions
• Manage enterprise endpoint security, including antivirus platforms and threat detection
• Provide Tier III/IV escalation support for complex infrastructure incidents and outages
• Develop technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans

Requirements

• 10–15 years of progressive experience in enterprise systems administration and infrastructure operations
• Active DoD Secret clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret is required)
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco Unity / CUCM and Fortinet firewalls
• Experience with Nutanix HCI platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration
• Experience with Splunk administration and monitoring
• Experience with Unitrends backup and recovery solutions
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), Fortinet NSE, RHCSA/RHCE, or Microsoft/Splunk certifications
• Experience supporting high-availability and mission-critical environments
• Familiarity with NIST, STIG, or other cybersecurity compliance frameworks
• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Bash
