Senior/Lead iOS Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own major parts of the iOS codebase and contribute to high-level architecture decisions
• Build and optimize video-heavy features including real-time recording, clipping, playback, and social feeds
• Tackle performance challenges such as reducing stutter, improving frame rates, and navigating iOS media capture sandboxing
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, backend, and product teams to ship polished experiences rapidly
• Advocate for user experience, performance, accessibility, and high code quality standards
• Work on-site at our NYC office 5 days a week

Requirements

• 5+ years of recent experience shipping high-quality iOS applications
• Deep proficiency in Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI
• Hands-on experience with Swift Concurrency and Combine
• Strong experience with AVFoundation or similar work involving mobile video and audio
• Proven track record of working on complex real-time apps, media-heavy workflows, or social applications
• Experience using REST APIs and collaborating with backend teams
• An ownership mentality with the ability to drive projects end-to-end

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with video on mobile at a consumer-facing company
• Knowledge of Android development
• Experience with other Apple technologies such as Objective-C, iPadOS, or macOS
• Experience with CI/CD workflows (e.g., Xcode Cloud)
• A passion for gaming and being an active user of gaming platforms
